COVID-19: Dixon’s statement
Business Continuity
Dixon Appointments has the technology and infrastructure to continue to support our candidates and clients during challenging environmental periods.
The following will apply during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Protection of Employees, Candidates and Clients
Protection of our people is the number one element of Dixon Appointments’ response plan. Risk of exposure can be identified and assessed via two key factors:
- Travel
- Symptoms
Information about travel risks have been, and will continue to be, disseminated in accordance with Government and Health authorities.
Interim plans for temporary staff
Dixon Appointments has made an amendment to our policy that allows our temporary employees to work from home. Our dedicated Working from Home Project Coordinator will facilitate and administer working from home assessments and approvals for all temporary employees.
Office opening hours
Dixon Appointments’ working hours will continue to be 8.00 am to 5.30 pm. Outside of these hours communication can be made as usual through mobile phone contacts.
Clients, candidates and visitors who have travelled overseas within the past 14 days, come into close contact with a suspected or positive case of COVID-19 or are showing symptoms will be asked to meet by phone or video, rather than face-to-face.
Identification of critical employee groups
These are staff that perform functions that Dixon Appointments absolutely must have operating every day. Staff will be asked to work from different locations to ensure business continuity.
Flexible working
Dixon Appointments will transition our teams to alternative working arrangements, including working remotely. This will ensure we support the health and wellbeing of our people, candidates, clients and community around us, while also delivering uninterrupted service to our candidates and clients.
Confidence in our infrastructure
Dixon Appointments remains committed to ensuring our “always on” systems operate effectively from various locations. We are well resourced for remote working and confident that there will be minimal disruption to client and candidate services during this time.
Virtual and remote meeting and interview capability
Dixon Appointments’ people are to avoid face to face candidate or client meetings and direct client contact at their offices unless absolutely necessary. Dixon Appointments will utilise video and audio-conferencing facilities. This will include continued team (staff) meetings.
Travel reduction
Dixon Appointments has suspended all staff travel for the time being to assist limiting exposure to potentially infected public. This includes international travel and use of public transport.
Communication
Dixon Appointments will continue to monitor the broader advice from health authorities and will update our clients should we need to change any of our current arrangements.
Dixon Appointments will ensure that information is disseminated to all staff and ensure messaging to candidates and clients is consistent and in line with the broader advice received from health and government authorities.
Note: For current and up to date information refer to the Australian Health Department Website or World Health Organization WHO (who.int).
Contacts
Dixon Appointments is committed to ensuring everyone’s health and safety during this time.
