Most enjoyable roles to recruit?
Probably Emergency Services Communication Centre staff. It takes a very special person to be able to take emergency calls & gain the information from distressed & emotional callers that is needed to ensure the front line police patrols have all the information required to attend the emergency.
What is the worst job you’ve ever had?
I was trying to make extra money to travel around Australia so took a job ironing linen for a hotel in a small town in Queensland. It was scorching hot, the room had no air con & I spent 6 hours straight ironing. I thought I was going to faint, the day was never-ending. To this day I hate ironing!
Best recruitment advice you’ve been given?
Never assume anything in recruitment, be transparent & open with your communication & even if you have followed a recruitment process & you don’t quite feel that its right…trust your instincts.
Favourite way to spend the weekend?
Curling up on the couch with a glass or a bottle of bubbles, some chips & dip watching a thriller on TV totally ignoring my healthy eating & exercise regime.
You might be surprised to know…
I once worked for a dating agency, which was such fun & very satisfying when I was able to help facilitate a date that went really well, resulting in future dates.
