Favourite podcast?

 

My current favourite is Heavyweight, covering the emotional burdens that people carry with them. That might sound a bit depressing, but it’s done in a humorous and clever way with great comedic timing.

 

What do you enjoy most about Dixon?

 

I’m sure others have said this, but the sense of team. I love how we celebrate team achievements and collaborate across the whole business. It’s a nice feeling.

 

Something you love or hate about Melbourne?

 

It’s love from me. I love the culture and access to the arts that we have in this city. I just went to an art exhibition on the weekend and there’s always something happening like that – you can really immerse yourself and it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to do so. And secretly, I also love the unpredictability of Melbourne’s weather but I’m probably in the minority on that one!

 

Greatest work challenge? 

Interviewing – short amount of time and people who are understandably nervous. Making people comfortable so that I can understand what type of jobs and work environments will suit them is my most enjoyable challenge.

 

Tell us a secret….

 

I’m a silversmith! I work with silver and gold to create one-off pieces of jewellery as a hobby. It’s been about four years now and I’m still having a lot of fun.
