What do you enjoy about Dixon Appointments?

I love that the team is so genuinely friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to help our clients and candidates, but they also provide that level of responsiveness to their own colleagues. This makes it a great place to work.

Tell us a secret…

My secret is….that I’m a barbershop nerd! Barbershop singing that is! I sing the bass part in a women’s acapella chorus and quartet. We sing 4-part harmonies and I love it!

Favourite podcast? (and why)  

My favourite podcast is “Criminal”.  It’s a true crime podcast but has short one-off stories about all sorts of interesting crimes, not just the grisly ones! I enjoy hearing the different perspectives of the criminals and the law, some of the episodes stay in my thoughts for days.

What’s the most unusual talent you have?

I don’t know if it’s considered unusual, but I can speed read – I can read and comprehend text at quite a fast pace.  It made my copious amounts of reading for Uni a bit easier!

Is there someone you particularly admire and if so, why?

I really admire my dad. He has a great outlook on life and sees the positive in everything.  At 80+ years old he cycles to golf, still does the odd plumbing job and has been volunteering at an aged care home! I aspire to having his energy and zest for life right now, let alone at his age!
